No ticket queue, no chatbot, no offshore tier-one. The person who built The Drip is the person who answers. Most things below you can sort out in a minute — anything else, just write.
Everything is delivered by Payhip the moment you buy — there's no waiting on an email from Chad to get going.
At checkout, Payhip shows your download (Windows installer or Mac app, your choice) and your license key on the confirmation screen and emails you the same details. Both are also in your Payhip account under your purchases.
Windows: run the .exe. Windows may warn about an app from an unknown publisher — choose More info → Run anyway. The Drip installs to your user profile; no admin rights needed. Mac: open the .dmg and drag the app to Applications. It is signed and notarized by Apple, and runs on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later, macOS 11+).
Launch the app, paste your license key into the activation box, and it unlocks. The key ties to that machine. One seat per key.
I lost my download link or license key
Check your email for the Payhip receipt (search "Payhip" or "The Drip"), or sign in at payhip.com and open your purchases — the download and key are both there. Still stuck? Email Chad with the address you bought under and he'll resend it.
How do I get updates?
The Drip checks for updates itself and pulls the latest installer in-app using your license key — you don't need to re-download from anywhere. All v1 updates are free to buyers. You can see every past release's notes in the app under Settings → What's New.
I'm moving to a new computer
Install The Drip on the new machine and activate with the same key. If the old machine is gone and activation complains that the seat is in use, email Chad and he'll reset it.
Where is my data stored? Can I back it up?
Everything lives in a local database file inside your user profile (Windows: %APPDATA%\ColdEmailDripTracker; Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/ColdEmailDripTracker) — nothing is on a server. To back up or move it, copy that file. The Drip also writes to your cloud folder if you've set up team sync or the iPhone app.
Activation or the app won't start
Make sure you're online for the first activation, and that the key has no stray spaces. If the window is blank on launch, give it a few seconds the first time on a large database. If it still won't go, email Chad with what you see and he'll walk through it.
Connecting the iPhone app
See The Drip for iPhone below — connecting, the "No snapshot found" message, what the phone can change, and how to remove its data are all covered there.
Refunds
14-day money-back guarantee. If it isn't working for you, email Chad within 14 days of purchase and he'll refund you. He'll also set you up with a free 15-minute setup call to get your list loaded and your first cadence running — just ask.
Team & dealer-network pricing
Multi-seat pricing for The Drip Suite and The Drip is handled directly — email Chad to start that conversation.
The Drip for iPhone is the companion to the desktop app of the same name. It works offline and reads a snapshot of your data from a cloud folder you choose. More about the app →
Today and Accounts read data that The Drip or The Drip Suite on Windows or macOS publishes. Set a companion folder there (Settings → Companion), then point the phone app at the same folder once.
Scanning a business card and saving it to your iPhone contacts works on its own — no desktop app, no folder, no account.
How do I connect it to my computer?
On the desktop app, open Settings → Companion and choose a folder inside a cloud service you already use (iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive). On the phone, open Settings → Sync folder → Choose folder and pick the same folder. The phone reads the newest snapshot it finds there.
It says "No snapshot found."
Usually one of: the desktop app hasn't published yet — open it and use Sync Now, or wait for its next automatic publish; the phone is pointed at a different folder than the desktop — re-check both paths; or the file hasn't finished downloading from your cloud service — open the folder in the Files app once so the provider pulls it down, then tap Reload now in Settings.
Does the app upload my data anywhere?
No. There is no server. The app reads and writes files only in the cloud folder you chose; your cloud provider's own app moves them between your devices. Card text recognition runs on the phone. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
What can the phone change?
It can add things, never edit or delete. From the phone you can log a call or email, mark a call touch as made, and add a scanned contact. Each becomes a small update file the desktop imports on its next sync.
I scanned a card but it isn't on my computer yet.
The update file waits in the folder until the desktop app runs its next sync. Open the desktop app and use Sync Now. If you haven't set a sync folder on the phone, the scan is held locally and sent once you do.
How do I remove my data from the app?
Stop using a folder: Settings → Forget folder. Clear unsent changes: Settings → Discard queued changes. Everything: delete the app — nothing is stored outside the phone.
Which cloud services work?
Any that provide a folder through the iOS Files app — iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, and others. The Drip doesn't talk to these services directly; it just reads and writes files in the folder, and their app handles the syncing.
